The Center for Exercise and Aging is an extension of the Exercise and Aging class presented by the Department of Kinesiology and Health at the School of Arts and Sciences. Through community outreach, students apply their theortecial knowledge and gain practical experience working with senior citizens to understand their physical strengths and weaknesses, thereby getting a better understanding of the process of aging from both a generic point of view and as a way to understand their own aging future.

The Center for the Experimental Study of Politics and Psychology in the Department of Political Science at the School of Arts and Sciences aims to promote experimental research in political science and other disciplines, and in particular to advance scholarly understanding of decision-making and voting behavior. To accomplish this goal the center offers how-to workshops during the semester, and a state-of-the-art laboratory facility for conducting research.

The Center for Government Services in the Division of Continuing Studies provides timely and relevant training for New Jersey state, county, and municipal employees. The center aims to improve the knowledge, competency, and professionalism of state and local government officials and employees.

The center fosters collaborative research on pharmacotherapy and chronic disease management among investigators from multiple disciplines and academic units across the university and external collaborators. One line of the center’s research focuses on understanding the complex factors and processes that shape the utilization of pharmacotherapy and providing a stronger knowledge base for quality improvement and more effective use of medications, especially in managing individuals with chronic health conditions.

The Center for Immunity & Inflammation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Cancer Center in Newark is a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative center with laboratories dedicated to researching allergies, chronic autoimmune diseases like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, fungal pathogens, pain management, sepsis, toxoplasmosis, and Vitamin D. An exciting emerging area of investigation includes inflammatory skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.
