The Center for Immunity & Inflammation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Cancer Center in Newark is a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative center with laboratories dedicated to researching allergies, chronic autoimmune diseases like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, fungal pathogens, pain management, sepsis, toxoplasmosis, and Vitamin D. An exciting emerging area of investigation includes inflammatory skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.

The Center for Latin American Studies promotes pedagogy, research, and service in and about the broader region known as Las Américas. The Center for Literacy Development is a network created to support professional development initiatives in schools and communities from Pre-K through Grade 12. As part of the Graduate School of Education, the center provides presentations, coaching, evaluations, assessment, advice with the design of the literacy curriculum, and courses at school districts for those seeking a certification or degree.

The Center for Materials Theory brings faculty, postdocs, and graduate students in the fields of condensed matter and materials theory together for synergistic interactions and collaborative research on the principles that govern the collective behavior of matter.

The Center for Mathematical Sciences Research is focused on the facilitation of research in mathematics, both pure and applied, at the highest level. This includes, in an integral way, graduate and post-graduate education and research training. While the center is intimately affiliated with the School of Arts and Sciences Department of Mathematics, it also has strong connections with the Department of Physics and Astronomy and DIMACS.
