National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity Institutional Membership

As part of our commitment to nurture and cultivate diversity and inclusion as key institutional values, Rutgers University-New Brunswick has invested in an Institutional Membership with the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD). The NCFDD is an independent  of faculty, postdocs, and graduate students from over 450 colleges and universities. Its resources are highly beneficial not only for faculty and students of color but all in need for general mentoring and other resources to support transitions throughout their careers.

By becoming an Institutional Member, all faculty, postdocs, and graduate students at Rutgers University have access to the following member resources at no additional cost.

• Monthly Guest Expert Webinars
• Access to Multi-Week Courses
• A private Discussion Forum for peer-mentoring & problem-solving
• Monthly accountability buddy matches
• Moderated writing challenges
• Access to the Member Library that includes past webinar materials, referrals, and readings

In addition to the resources available to you as an Institutional Member, the center also offers professional development training and intensive mentoring programs. To claim your Institutional Membership, you will need to activate your personal membership account. View the PDF instructions. We are also pleased to announce the formation of a discussion group based on the book, The Black Academics Guide to Winning Tenure Without Losing Your Soul. To request a free copy of the book and to indicate your interest in lunch or dinner meeting, please register online. We hope to identify three meeting dates this fall. This group is open to faculty of all ranks, on and off the tenure track. If you are interested in learning more about how race structures life in the academy join us.
