As part of the School of Arts and Sciences, the Center for Computational Biomedicine Imaging and Modeling serves as an environment for conducting novel research in the areas of computational biomedicine, computer vision, computer graphics, scientific computations, and learning and robotics. The center is located in a space comprising of almost 11,000 square feet that includes a separate space for human motion capture experiments.

The Center for Continuing and Outreach Education develops and implements continuing education activities for a wide range of health professionals. The center has developed independent education and innovative programming that addresses relevant clinical topics.

The Center for Cultural Analysis is the university's hub for interdisciplinary research in the humanities and humanistically-oriented social sciences. Through the Aresty Fellows Program, the center sponsors research opportunities for advanced undergraduates who are interested in creative approaches to interdisciplinary problems. As a member of the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes, the center is a primary site at the university for international partnerships and multi-institutional projects.

The Center for Dermal Research (CDR) aims to be the premier dermatopharmaceutics research center in New Jersey conducting studies on topical and transdermal compound delivery, skin biology and skin tissue engineering. CDR provides quality educational opportunities for its members through workshops, seminar series, symposia, and courses.

DIMACS is the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science and facilitates research, education, and outreach in discrete mathematics, computer science theory, algorithms, mathematical and statistical methods, and their applications. Their multi-year special focus programs address research themes that require topical expertise in these areas, have the potential for societal impact, and are poised for advance. Educational programs include materials development for high school and college classrooms, an extensive summer undergraduate research program, and teacher training programs.

As part of the School of Arts and Sciences Department of Economics, the Center for Economic Behavior, Institutions and Design is dedicated to laboratory research in economics and related social sciences with the broad aim of understanding economic behavior and institutions disciplined by economic theory. The center fosters laboratory experimental research in economics for graduate and undergraduate students.

The Center for Effective School Practices, a unit in the Graduate School of Education, is a research center dedicated to the pursuit of excellence and integrity in research and education. The center engages in ongoing collaborations with K-12 schools and districts, higher education institutions, state and federal government agencies, and community organizations to design, implement, and evaluate strategies and tools that enhance the capacity of educators and policymakers to develop and deliver high-quality evidence-based instruction, curriculum, programs, and policy initiatives.

The Center for Energy, Economic & Environmental Policy works to strengthen energy, economic, and environmental public policy in close cooperation with faculty, students, and other centers within the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. The school conducts research and education in the areas of housing, transportation, workforce development, public health, economic development, ecological balance, and social equity and justice. In addition, the center collaborates with policy experts and stakeholders in the private, public, and non-profit sectors throughout our region and across the country.

Housed within the School of Arts and Sciences, the Center for European Studies promotes research and teaching on modern Europe at Rutgers and to foster intellectual exchanges between members of the Rutgers community and European scholars and institutions. The center sponsors an undergraduate major and minor in European studies and hosts a graduate associates program, bringing together an interdisciplinary group of graduate students with research interests in Europe. Every year, the CES hosts a rich assortment of public lectures, conferences, and outreach activities that foster deeper understanding of European history, politics, and culture.

The Center for Executive Leadership in Government (CELG) is a unit of the Center for Government Services at Rutgers within the Division of Continuing Studies. CELG strengthens the leadership skills of those who deliver public and nonprofit services. The center provides education and training opportunities to help public sector professionals build knowledge, address best practices, and navigate changes in the field.
