Join the Department of Nutritional Sciences for a spring semester seminar with Laura Byham-Gray, School of Health Professions.

Protein-energy wasting in chronic kidney disease has emerged as an independent risk factor for mortality, but its etiology is highly complex, involving physiological, metabolic, and psycho-social determinants. In this seminar, Dr. Byham-Gray will share her data that explored such traditional predictors as well as the discovery of novel factors learned from the lived experiences of patients, affording a more comprehensive description of this syndrome and its relevant management.
