Implementing a Universal Design Approach to Formative Assessment
This session will focus on actionable recommendations that incorporate universal design in the development and delivery of formative assessments. We will explore instructor- and learner-driven goals for formative assessment, and then offer examples of universal design principles that support those goals. With universal design informing our approach, we will brainstorm ideas for enhancing or even transforming typical assessment practices.
