Workshop: Anti-Racism in the Remote Classroom
The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly disrupted K-12 education. Please join us this summer for a virtual series, offered by the Rutgers Graduate School of Education, on creating supportive, engaging and equitable learning experiences for students in this new environment.
This series highlights the reflections and expertise of a diverse set of educators, parents, community members and faculty as we, together, consider and plan for the new challenges we will face in the upcoming school year.
Classroom conversations about and curricular engagement with race, racism and equity are essential. Remote learning settings pose a particular set of challenges for addressing these topics. This session will focus on how to sensitively, honestly and effectively engage in this critical work in the remote classroom.
