Gambaccini Civic Engagement Series: A Book Talk with Yuval Levin

Join the Eagleton Institute of Politics and the American Enterprise Institute Executive Council for the next event in the Louis J. Gambaccini Civic Engagement Series: a book talk with Yuval Levin.

Yuval Levin is the director of social, cultural, and constitutional studies at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). He is the founding and current editor of National Affairs, a senior editor of The New Atlantis, and a contributing editor to National Review. He served as a member of the White House domestic policy staff under President George W. Bush and was also executive director of the President’s Council on Bioethics as well as a congressional staffer at the member, committee, and leadership levels.
In his latest book, A Time to Build: From Family and Community to Congress and the Campus, How Recommitting to Our Institutions Can Revive the American Dream, Levin argues now is not a time to tear down, but rather to build and rebuild by committing ourselves to the institutions around us. From the military to churches, from families to schools, these institutions provide the forms and structures we need to be free. By taking concrete steps to help them be more trustworthy, we can renew the ties that bind Americans to one another.
The Gambaccini Civic Engagement Series was established to honor Lou Gambaccini’s legacy in public service and his lifelong dedication to upholding the highest standards of civic responsibility.
