Welcome, Scarlet Knights!

Dear Rutgers University–New Brunswick Students:
Welcome back!
The start of the fall semester is undoubtedly my favorite time of year. While there are always students on campus, there is nothing like the start of a new academic year. It's wonderful to see the campus come alive with students discovering their passions and working hard to live their potential. For those of you joining us for the first time, a special welcome. You are embarking on a new chapter that will profoundly impact your future. We couldn’t be happier you're here.
It's been a busy summer. A new Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement, Dr. Enobong (Anna) Branch, joined us and will guide our efforts to nurture and cultivate diversity and inclusion as key institutional values, strengthening our commitment to our diverse community on and off campus. We also have made strategic changes to Career Services to further prioritize the career readiness of our students, as well as continued to recruit the best faculty, foster innovation, ensure our facilities are top-notch, find efficiencies in our operations and services when possible, and proudly tell the Rutgers story.
Amid the bustle of a new school year, however, it's a good time to remind us what Rutgers is all about. At heart, we are a place that changes the world for the better. From the classroom where knowledge is learned to the research labs where students and professors alike dream of advances that will benefit us all, we share a common vision to make the world a better place. Here, you'll have an opportunity to be part of this life-changing work, grow in ways you didn’t know possible and prepare for a future that is boundless.
In the meantime, rest assured that you are at one of the best institutions of higher learning anywhere, and everything we do is with you in mind. I hope you are as excited as I am about the months ahead, and I look forward to seeing you around campus soon.
Chancellor Christopher Molloy
