The Start of a New Semester
September 1, 2020
Dear Scarlet Knights,
The start of a new academic year always brings a sense of excitement and anticipation. Although this semester is different in profound ways, we are confident that it will be no less meaningful.
Throughout the summer, we have been busy preparing an evolved virtual academic experience that will help you thrive here at Rutgers and prepare you well for future semesters. We also have been equally committed to developing new programs and remote engagement opportunities so that we can all remain well connected despite our physical distance.
As you begin your classes today, remember that there is an entire New Brunswick campus community that is supporting you. We encourage you to stay connected virtually with friends, faculty, and mentors, and to reach out to our many student service offices for assistance as often as necessary. Always remember that our collective bond as Scarlet Knights will sustain us until we are back together on The Banks again soon.
Until then, I wish you health and much success in the semester ahead.
Sincerely,
Christopher J. Molloy, Ph.D.
Chancellor, Rutgers University–New Brunswick
