This training will provide you with knowledge of Deaf Culture and Identity. You will leave with a better understanding of :

  • d/Deaf / Hard of Hearing individual's identities, experiences and perspectives
  • Microaggressions (I will tell you later, Hearing Impaired)
  • Prejudices (the spectrum of hearing)
  • The burden of communication...
  • De’VIA Art (Deaf oppression and liberation art)
  • Deaf Heart, Deaf Gain vs “Audism”
  • Deaf Traditions Deaf Storytelling, Poetry, ABC Stories / Number Stories

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Audience: faculty/staff, students, community
