Infosilem Course Scheduling Town Hall Meetings
February 7, 2019
Dear Colleagues,
The Office of Scheduling and Space Management will be hosting a second series of town hall meetings to update the University community on the progress of the Infosilem course scheduling project. These presentations will provide an overview of the project, describe the principles of the new software system, and show results of the latest round of testing and simulation.
The team overseeing the software implementation has been working closely with the schools and departments throughout the project, but these town hall meetings are intended to continue to keep the broader University community informed in advance of the platform launch later this Spring for Spring 2020 course scheduling.
Modernizing our course scheduling reflects our ongoing commitment to improve our students' educational experience. The new system will enable the schools and departments to more readily schedule the courses they want to offer in appropriate classrooms. And it will ensure our students can schedule the courses they require to progress toward their degrees, all while reducing course-related bus travel.
I want to again thank the countless people from across the schools, departments, and units who have been working tirelessly on this important initiative.
Sincerely,
Chris Molloy
