Winter Storm Alert for Rutgers–New Brunswick Campus

Dear Rutgers–New Brunswick Campus Community,

The university remains open. However, given the persistence of blizzard conditions today, classes and work operations will continue to be remote, where possible, through tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24.

Campus Operations

Again, on Tuesday, February 24, classes at Rutgers–New Brunswick will be online in either synchronous or asynchronous mode. Classes that cannot be held online will be cancelled. Instructors should notify students about their plans for holding or cancelling class on Tuesday. All events scheduled for today through tomorrow will be cancelled.  Please note that the dining halls will remain open and students may stay in their residence halls.

In addition:

• Employees deemed essential will be advised where and when to report by their supervisors.  
• Dining halls will remain open.
• Student health services will be online.
• University Libraries’ buildings will be closed today through Tuesday. Instruction and reference services will pivot to fully remote to support our university community without disruption. Please check the Rutgers University Libraries website for more information.
• The Food Pantry in the College Avenue Student Center will be open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. today and Tuesday.
• Check scarletknights.com for possible changes to athletics schedules.

• Take this situation seriously;
• Keep an eye out for further updates;
• Continue to check rutgers.edu/status and https://newbrunswick.rutgers.edu/operating-status; and
• Take all recommended actions to ensure your safety during hazardous winter conditions.
