Home of the Scarlet Knights
Rutgers–New Brunswick competes in the Big Ten and fields NCAA Division I teams across men's and women's sports. More than 730 Scarlet Knights represent Rutgers each year, from football and basketball to softball, wrestling, and lacrosse. Their drive on the field shows up in the stands and across campus.
A Big Ten Experience for Student-Athletes
As a member of the Big Ten Conference and the Association of American Universities, Rutgers–New Brunswick gives student-athletes the chance to compete on one of college athletics' biggest stages while pursuing a serious academic education. Athletes train in modern facilities, work closely with academic advisors who understand the demands of Division I competition, and represent Rutgers on a campus where Scarlet Knight pride runs deep.
Intramurals and Club Sports for Every Interest

Try something new or stick with a sport you already enjoy while balancing classes and campus life. With dozens of teams, leagues, and tournaments running throughout the year, there's always a game to join.
