Presidential Employee Excellence Recognition Program 2024

May 13, 2024

Dear Rutgers–New Brunswick Community,

The second annual Presidential Employee Excellence Recognition Program, which President Holloway announced last month, will recognize individual staff or faculty members, or teams of employees, who perform exceptional work in the service of our university mission and the key value propositions of ensuring access and academic excellence, building a beloved community, and serving the common good.

Let’s make sure Rutgers–New Brunswick and our amazing employees are well represented when President Holloway celebrates the awardees this December! Nominations are due by Monday, July 15, 2024, and can be submitted via this website.

I encourage each of you to take a moment to recall outstanding work that supported our students, our employees, the university itself, or the broader society. Nominate a colleague, nominate yourself, or nominate a team whose efforts fulfill one of the seven award categories: Rutgers Lifetime Contribution Award (Faculty); Rutgers Lifetime Contribution Award (Staff); Rutgers Gateway Award (Service to Students); Rutgers Gateway Award (Service to Employees); Rutgers University Spirit Award; Rutgers Outstanding Service Award; and Pride of Rutgers Award.

Please visit this webpage to learn more about the Presidential Employee Excellence Recognition Program and find details about the nomination process, eligibility criteria, and more. Act now so you can compile a full submission by the deadline; this sample nomination form shows all of the elements required, including letters of support.

As President Holloway said in his introductory video for this program, “I firmly believe that by fostering a culture of appreciation, we strengthen our community and reaffirm our shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration across Rutgers.”

Sincerely,

Francine Conway, Ph.D.
Chancellor and Distinguished Professor
