Campus Open House - Thank You
April 16, 2019
Dear Rutgers University Community,
On Saturday, we welcomed more than 6,800 admitted students and their families—nearly 20,000 guests—to campus for our annual Admitted Student Open House. Our guests participated in presentations from all of our academic schools, learned more about their potential majors, heard from key university partners about life on campus and after graduation, met our outstanding students, attended a school services fair featuring 35 departments, cheered on our football team at the Scarlet/White game, toured residence halls on every campus, and took photos with the Scarlet Knight at our enrollment station.
It was a well-organized, well-executed, and wonderful day showcasing the spirit of what it means to be a Rutgers student. We have already heard from over one-third of our event registrants, and 86% left with a better impression of Rutgers than they had before they arrived to the university on Saturday morning.
Hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and administrators generously volunteered their time alongside Undergraduate Admissions to make this event a success. From facilities to RUPD, athletics to academics, residence life to dining services, academic units to career services, from all of the student organizations to every person and department that contributed to this event, I would like to share my appreciation.
Thank you for working together to welcome our future Scarlet Knights to the banks.
Sincerely,
Christopher J. Molloy, Ph.D.
