Rutgers Day is set for Saturday, April 26, 2025, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., rain or shine, on the Busch Campus in Piscataway and the College Avenue and Cook/Douglass campuses in New Brunswick. Get ready for the ultimate celebration of everything Rutgers!
Select a campus location to begin planning your day. There’s something for everyone, with live stage performances, exhibits, plenty of kids’ activities, educational demonstrations, and so much more to see and do... and it’s all free.

Explore Rutgers’ impact around the world in the Global Pavilion, take a turn at the Marathon reading, learn about different languages and cultures, and visit the Zimmerli Art Museum exhibitions.

Nature and animal lovers alike flock to the Cook/Douglass Campus for a mix of high-tech research centers and an operational farm. This year marks the return of the beloved plant sale and the 50th anniversary of the New Jersey Folk Festival.

Returning to Rutgers Day

The Rutgers Gardens plant sale is back, offering perennials and annuals for sale by the Floriculture Greenhouse on Red Oak Lane on the Cook/Douglass Campus. Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County will be selling perennial wildflowers and other native plants.

Organizers and participants of the New Jersey Folk Festival are celebrating the event’s 50th anniversary, with live local musicians, folklorists, and more near Passion Puddle on the George H. Cook Campus.

The annual Scarlet-White preseason scrimmage football game between members of the Rutgers football team will kick off at 2 p.m. at SHI Stadium on Busch Campus, and air live on the Big Ten Network.
