Chair Yoga: Movement for Every Body
Join Amy Bertelsen-Robles, LSW, CYT-200, and Love Your Brain Certified, for a half-hour Chair Yoga session with guided meditation, as part of Rutgers University’s Adaptive Sports, Health & Wellness Day. Designed to be welcoming, accessible, and inclusive, this session offers participants an opportunity to explore gentle movement, stretching, breathing, and relaxation from a seated position. Chair yoga can be adapted for individuals with a wide range of disabilities, mobility levels, and physical abilities—and no previous yoga experience is necessary.
Yoga and mindful movement can improve flexibility, balance, strength, mobility, and body awareness while reducing stress and tension. These practices also promote relaxation, focus, and emotional well-being.
