BrainDance - Adaptive Versions of the Body/Mind Connection Virtual Class

Date & Time

Thursday, October 22, 2026, 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Category

Disability Awareness Month at Rutgers

The BrainDance developed by Anne Green Gilbert explores eight movement patterns to help connect the mind and body together to be more coordinated, balanced, and integrated.

I will show you how to do these movements in a chair and we will also have demonstrations on the floor or standing. This adaptive version will be virtual so participants can attend from the comfort of their own personal spaces. Come explore the patters of Breath, Tactile (Touch), Core/Distal, Head/Tail, Upper Body/Lower Body, Body Side (Right and Left), Crosslateral, and Vestibular (Rotating or Swinging). You will find joy in the movements and feel more connected!
