Alternative Formats: Expanding Access and Empowering Choice

In this session we will learn about Alternative Formats, what they are and how they can help remove barriers to learning for students with diverse needs while empowering student choice overall. We'll introduce a variety of formats and explain why each is important for creating a more inclusive learning experience. Participants will gain a better understanding of the various barriers alternative formats can address and how they can directly support greater access to course materials.

Workshop Format:

20-25 minute presentation with demo followed by

5–10 minute Q&A with a UOES Instructional Designer and Instructional Technologist
