Dr. Jorge Ortiz is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers School of Engineering and the director of the Sensing and Reasoning Lab. His research focuses on trustworthy AI, combining sensing, reasoning, and formal verification to build intelligent systems that operate safely in the physical world. As a Research Leadership Faculty Fellow, he is developing AI tools to enhance research development across Rutgers.
