Executive Search: Director of the Eagleton Institute of Politics

Rutgers–New Brunswick is seeking a visionary leader, experienced executive, and scholar to serve as Director of the Eagleton Institute of Politics, which studies the ways American politics and government work and change, analyzes how democracy might improve, and promotes political participation and civic engagement.

We aim to identify a thoughtful and dynamic leader who will advance the institute’s mission with a strong commitment to excellence and equity.

  • The leadership profile provides an overview of the Eagleton Institute of Politics’ academic and operational ecosystem and summarizes the qualities required of successful candidates for the role of Director of Eagleton.

  • The Office of the Chancellor-Provost formed the search committee in close collaboration with the leadership of the institute and with the aim of creating a broad and representative group. The committee’s primary role will be to develop the leadership profile, aid in the evaluation of candidates, interview potential candidates, and make a recommendation to the chancellor-provost.
